California company recalls 8.7 million pounds of meat products that weren't fully inspected

PETALUMA, Calif. — A Northern California company is recalling more than 8.7 million pounds of beef products because it processed diseased and unhealthy animals without a full federal inspection, federal officials said Saturday.

Actualreader, I didn't read a thing in this story about any complaints or anybody getting sick. All undercooked meat has the potential to harm. This case looks like government showing who is the boss. I would expect a loss like this will shut down the company. Add them to a long list of other U.S companies shut down due to Big Brother only trying to "help". Lets see...there is Kohler plumbing moving their large casting plant to Mexico due to EPA. Hallmark/westland meat company bankruptcy due to Big Brother harassment. Coal companies closing left and right due to Big Brother harassment. Pretty soon we will all be working for the DMV.
