North Minneapolis homes caught up in legal dispute

More than 30 north Minneapolis families have found themselves caught up in a legal battle between the man who sold them their homes and a bank that’s trying to put their homes into a receivership.

Why would they expect him to carry the insurance? They act like they are renting and they need to get out of that mindset. They are homeowners and should carry the same level of insurance any other homeowner carries. He is acting as the bank only. He should be requiring proper insurance or he calls the loan just like any bank does but the buyer should not be expecting him to carry the insurance.

@galljc, I'm not sure why you're attacking the buyer over the insurance. I believe the seller lives in Florida, and he's a businessman; he's not going to waste his time getting Minnesota home insurance for a buyer simply because she "expects" him to. Therefore, it's not unreasonable to guess that he probably did it of his own free will (and also that he probably did it because he saw some financial advantage in offering to do it). I'm not sure how that makes the buyer a lazy person with an incorrect mindset.
