The Republicans I know live in a world of beige. I am afraid this will be lost on them. They will only fret over the cost and then retire to their hotel room for a glass of boxed wine and a Triscuit with Velveeta.

I do agree this will be wasted on us Republicans. It appears to be geared more towards the incoming protesters. I will skip the Chai Tea and the informative lectures such as Soap..A Republican conspiracy? Or Patchouli and you..Ten things you need to know! and the always popular…Work! Why isn’t that what Welfare is for? See you at the X.

Let's do something like this not around the republican convention ... a waste of energy and time a great talent on individual who are not interested...

...but not surprising, that someone would actually imply in this forum that Democrats are dirty and lazy. Seriously, this is grade-school level--do Democrats have cooties, too? How do you even start a discussion with people stuck at this level? When that's your opening line, you have pretty much lost me. What's your goal here?

I think it's disgraceful how the taxpayers are footing the bill for so much of the Republicans' private party. These people have been gaming the system for far too long. It's not just the obvious criminals like Jack Abramoff and "Duke" Cunningham... this spring, a government audit found that 98% of the private contractors in Iraq had violated anti-fraud regulations and federal laws. ("In one example, $11 million was paid to a U.S. company without any record of what goods or services were provided...") These people have spent the last 8 years ripping off the taxpayers -and the state of Minnesota wants to roll out the red carpet?!
