The Twins slugger not only has raised his batting average to .324 -- third-best in the league -- but he also has become one of the best-fielding first basemen.

I feel bad for Sid. Does anyone else feel bad for him? He's just such a schlepper...

Sid...how would you suggest I prepare my Walleye tomorow night? I'm hosting quite a dinner with many of my "close, personal friends" and figured you might have an opinion on it. Would you go the beer-batter-crushed crackers-butter or might you oven bake it? I'll tell you Sid, it's going to be a barn burner with Walleye and grilled steaks (what's a guy got to do to get one of your butter knife steak certificates) complimented with stuff that would make crazy man Roberto Knight launch a chair in satisfaction. I'll hang up and listen for your recommendations and thanks in advance.

I wonder why Joseph is not attending summer school? Is he burnt out from trying out for the Canadian National team? Is he a marginal student who is afraid to start school? It seems odd. You would think he would be excited to get down here and start interacting with his team-mates and coaches.

I haven't read any analysis about the failed pick off during the 6-5 loss to the Red Sox. It's a tough play for Morneau coming in for the bunt and then having to get back to the bag with the quick throw from Mauer. Do people feel it was a good play by the runner or a failed play by the Twins?

The word I heard was that it was a paperwork/visa issue. Couldn't satisfy the gov't requirements in time for summer school.

I've never seen so much @ kissing in one article. How did he manage to fit it all in? Nice fluff piece on Morneau. Nowhere did it mention he just got swept out of Fenway with his tail between his legs.

...will be one of the top DB's in the Big Ten. The last time this program had a top DB was Tyrone Carter. I'll admit to not being too excited about dumping Mason for Brewster, but if the talent pans out, I will change my tune...
