I like Coach Kill but don't agree with him driving. Had a friend that thought he had his seizures under control and ended up getting seizure while driving.

Incoming recruits are promising. Waiting and waiting for the Gophers to play here at the Rose Bowl in SoCal.

The Gophers ranked no. 12 in recruiting in the big 10.--again!! You do not get out of mediocre city with poor recruiting. And please do not believe the rankings do not matter--For exampleThe SEC is ranked high year after year and see the results. Kill only got one Mn. guy and he likely will not be eligible. Sad. Better keep scheduling cream puffs and maybe pay another 800,000 to avoid somebody to keep a decent won/loss record.

"So I think being honest sometimes, believe it or not, helps you." - Jerry Kill. Really, this is who we want teaching our young people?

Pengel1622 - where are u getting ur ridiculous rankings? Rivals has Mn ranked 8th in the Big Ten which is ahead of Iowa and Nw and two spots below WI. Nice try.

Recruitng rankings are nice but they really mean nothing right now. Wait at least 2 years. Also, being highly ranked doesn't help if any of those players are not on the field to play. A couple of years ago Notre Dame got one of the top ranked QB's. I don't think he is even playing right now. At least we know with Kill for the most part he is going after kids with good character. When you are at a school like Minnesota coaching a player "up" is so important.

Need speed - all the rest can be coached. Rankings dont look too promising but maybe the coaching can overcome it. Both Arizona schools recruited top 25 classes but its easy because all the talent is in the south and its warm here. Good luck Gophers.

Sid is actually celebrating another year of bottom of the conference recruiting. Yes he had to fight hard to get those 3 star recruits away from Kent State, but he needs to set his sights a lot higher if he wants to compete for the top players in this conference. Maybe after he wins a minor bowl game he can start calling on the players farther up the rankings who went to all the other Big Ten schools. One local kid in the top 300 doesn't portend much improvement, especially with Ohio State on the schedule. This is Kill's fourth year of recruiting so we will see what he has really accomplished with all his own picks next fall.

If you wanted to hear this "conversation" earlier, you could have listen to Dan Barreiro on KFAN. This "column" is simply a transcript of the conversation Dan had with Jerry Kill. And that is what passes as journalism?

BCanniff - Wisconsin typically finishes in the bottom half of the recruiting rankings too...should we bash them for not competing for the top players too?
