Prosecution rests in ex-Orleans Mayor Nagin's trial; accused of taking bribes for contracts

NEW ORLEANS — Federal prosecutors rested their corruption case Wednesday against former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, leaving it to defense lawyers to counter five days of testimony from more than two dozen witnesses, including five who said they were involved in bribing Nagin.

So not only did this Democrat politician engage in corruption, he did not pay his required amount of income taxes? Classic Democrat behavior. Obama nominated 6 Democrat tax cheaters for high-level government posts back in 2009, including Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle who is now a big-money lobbyist whose employer transports him to work every morning in a chauffeur-driven luxury automobile. You know, a gas guzzler.
