I have nothing but praise for K-Love tonight - scoring, rebounding, defense, and, guts. He was mauled on several occasions tonight and kept getting up. That hard fall where he landed flush on his tailbone and banged his head was enough for most players to just go to the locker room. I was disappointed in how the Wolves came out in the second half, though. Too much one-on-one, too much dribbling (Barea), no side-to-side ball movement. Much of that stagnation was the result of Love being double and triple teamed and nobody was cutting to the basket. So he passed it back out and everybody else ran isolation plays. The bench was great in the second quarter, disappeared the rest of the game. I hope Dieng doesn't have a concussion; he earned himself some minutes tonight, I think. But, in the end, props to Love for a KG-like performance.

Lakers have lost 13 of their last 15 and have allowed 110 or more in all of those losses. The wolves won 109-99. Am I reading this wrong or is someone confused about whether or not 109 is more than 110?

The Wolves defense even made Wesley Johnson look serviceable. Yikes!

The last 3 games personify the importance of Pekovich.

It was a typo. The writer meant the Lakers have given up at least 100 points in 15 straight games.

OKC will blow them away tomorrow.

What's the word on Gorgui Dieng? He left the game holding his head (or eye?) and did not return. Is he all right? And how about KLove, after that hard, hard foul?

ValentoFeb. 4, 1411:44 PM

I've never seen an NBA team that plays less defense. Count how many times OKC will get uncontested dunks or unchallenged jumpers. A team like this only wins when they are energized and making shots. Unfortunately, that is a clear path to .500....right where they are at. Hate to say it, but dealing K Love might be the best long term solution. He's a great player but somewhat of a stat stuffer. He plays hard on offense and when rebounds are obtainable. No where else.

"He plays hard on offense and when rebounds are obtainable. No where else." Obviously you did not watch the game last night. Love sacrificed his body taking the charge at least 3 times. He blocked/altered several shots, and had a bunch of rebounds on the defensive end. I gues that qualifies as "nothing else."
