While shrinking the safety net, GOP states find one place to spend more: preschool

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Republican governors and lawmakers who now control a majority of state capitols have been pushing aggressively to cut spending and shrink government — with one glaring exception.

Why is it, in every single article about anything to do with politics, there is at least ONE paragraph near the beginning describing how this is about votes. It's because the right are joining the left in their belief that votes are more important than the country. Until a few years ago, preschool not non=existent. And Children did much better back then. Why is it, all of a sudden, that the gov't now has to take over the responsibility of the parents for EVERYTHING!
