Christie says he had no role in lane closures even if he may have heard about traffic problems

TRENTON, N.J. — Gov. Chris Christie said Monday he may have heard about congestion on the George Washington Bridge last fall but it didn't register as anything more than regular traffic jams because he wasn't aware his aides had ordered lanes blocked, apparently for political retribution.

These were people who reported directly to Christie. It's hard (impossible?) to believe that he didn't have a part of this. Was he out raising money for the GOP or just asleep at the switch or is he lying? None of these is a good option, and most Americans believe that he is lying.
