I'm no expert of Italian law, but it baffles me that she can continue being retried until the prosecusion is satisfied, even when there is no evidence to prove it.

I would fight if I was innocent of this horrendous crime and illogical prosecution.

They did not find any of Amanda Knox's DNA or fingerprints at the crime scene. But for Rudy Guede they found his finger prints, hand print, and shoe prints all in Merediths' blood. Guede's DNA was found on Meredith, in Meredith and in her purse. Guede committed three robberies in the month before Meredith's murder and at one he was carrying a large knife. How on earth the court decided that Amanda was the real murdered and Rudy just an accomplice is beyond me

Strib comment cops are COWARDS. There was NOTHING breaking terms of use in any of my comments. Honor extradition and send her back when/if they request it.

What if Amanda Knox was obese and ugly, would this press fiasco even be happening? Did it ever occur to anyone supporting this "girl next door" that she might be guilty? This situation will test our great president when the extradition request comes through.

Be glad we live in the United States of America where despite the shortcomings of our legal system, at least you can't be tried twice for the same crime. Italy's "justice" system is a joke.

I would fight if I was innocent of this horrendous crime and I would fight if I was guilty of this horrendous crime. So is Obama going to extradite her?

Still curious that she doesn't present the image she embraced at the time of the crime. Courting the sympathy vote? Understandable.

Just remember that other countries do not extradite to the US despite signing a treaty. France has harbored a cop killer for over 30 years, and Mexico refuses to extradite murderers.

This is why the US constitution specifically protects against double-jeopardy, so officials can't keep prosecuting someone over and over again until they find a judge and jury willing to convict. Since double-jeopardy is illegal in the US, there should be no valid grounds to extradite.
