What now for Amanda Knox? Legal experts say Italy return a strong possibility after conviction

SEATTLE — Amanda Knox is facing what seemed like a distant worry when she was giving national television interviews and promoting her autobiography last year: the possibility of being returned to Italy to serve decades in prison for the death of her roommate, Meredith Kercher.

Another twist that *could* complicate things is a scenario such as this: Knox's ex-boyfriend turns on his ex-girlfriend in order to strike a plea deal. I'm NOT wishing for this and NOT predicting this, but it clearly is a possibility in a situation where double-jeopardy does not rule. The whole thing is a giant mess much to the grief of the deceased's family.

Let us pray for all concern that our officials base their decision on law and reason and leave political considerations out of it. Whereas this Administration and it's cabinet secretaries have proven incapable of ignoring political implications in each and every decision of magnitude, Ms.Knox has sufficient cause to worry.
