Wisconsin awards $58 million contract to Accenture despite troubled history with company

MADISON, Wis. — Gov. Scott Walker's administration has signed a $58 million information technology contract with Accenture, the same company that was paid millions of dollars but failed to deliver a fully functional voter registration system to the state seven years ago.

Accenture's bill rate will be twice what they actually pay their employees or contractors. On the bottom end, probably $100 and hour, at least. On the high end, $300-500 per hour. They make great consultants; but consultants are generally no good "doers"...just a bunch of MBA's with big ideas and little experience. You would be better off hiring an IT company.
