BAYONNE, N.J. — Passengers aboard a cruise ship on which hundreds fell ill recalled days of misery holed up in their rooms as it returned to its home port Wednesday from a Caribbean trip cut short by what is suspected to be among the largest such norovirus outbreaks in the last 20 years.

I was on a cruise ship that had a Norwalk outbreak. It was a Carnival ship. It seams like they were not so cheap as Royal Carribben is being. 'One free cruise day for each sick day'? That's a bunch of crap! Basically their entire trip was a waste and the virus itself is just like the flu only it lasts much longer. Carnivla gave their passengers a cash allowance or a free return cruise, their choice. I would be furious if I was sick and they offered me 3 or 4 days free on a different cruise.
