WASHINGTON — It seems to be something of an occupational hazard for President Barack Obama: When he talks about his health care law, he's bound to hit a fact bump sooner or later.

I didn't watch the speech. Did he say "If you like your plan you can keep your plan" again?

"She leaves out a significant factor in the high number of people who aren't looking for jobs: Baby boomers are retiring." They're retiring because they need a job but no one will hire them!

On one hand, it would be nice to have this 'fact check' tagged onto every political story in the paper. On the other hand, who's to say the fact checkers aren't covering their own agenda?

If mobility measures "haven't changed since the 1970s", doesn't that mean that they have, in fact, "stalled"?

"If mobility measures "haven't changed since the 1970s", doesn't that mean that they have, in fact, "stalled"? --- Then they've been stalled for the last almost 40 years. So Obama is blaming the GOP for this? Seems like we've had several presidents and congresses of both parties during that time.

"Baby boomers are retiring." They're retiring because they need a job but no one will hire them!".................Pure conjecture here. The vast number of boomers retiring is due to the FACT that they're at retirement age.

"Really, the Trib publishes something calling the Pres. a liar"................Did we read the same article here???? No where did the author deem anything he said a "lie". No where. What she did write is that although his words were accurate, there were times in which he focused on the positives, leaving out ways in which the info could be interpreted differently. Big difference.

"So Obama is blaming the GOP for this?"...................First of all, Obama didn't "blame" the GOP for anything other than wasting time with 45 votes to repeal ACA. Beyond this, he urged Congress to take several important actions. This is not "blaming" in any way.

My own Medicare premium went up $1.50 a month. I think I can handle this, especially because ACA has closed the donut hole for prescription drugs!
