Police say robber used stun gun on Milwaukee concertmaster to steal rare Stradivarius violin

MILWAUKEE — A 300-year-old "priceless" Stradivarius violin was stolen from the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra's concertmaster during an armed robbery after a performance at a local Lutheran college, police said Tuesday.

This is unfortunate but I need to ask..,why is this guy walking around with a multi million dollar violin and no security? He put a big bullseye on his back toting this rare item around unprotected.

If I had possession of something that was worth millions of dollars, I can guarantee you that I would have armed security with me everywhere I went....

Someone has started a Kickstarter campaign to fund the purchase of another Stradivarius and there are already plans underway for a benefit album entitled, "Songs for Strat", with contributions by currently unidentified local music legends.
