Doing more with less is now a normal part of government. This budget cut came out of the sequester which resulted from a Washington spending increase. Republicans proposed to agree upon targeted cuts but Democrats refused, so the cuts were 'across the board'.

Good. It may "feel" good thinking these people are helping, but no one is listening to them. You want nutritional information? Read the label. The government requires very specific information on all food labels.

This is a good thing and I applaud it. One on one counseling? Ridiculous. Make it a requirement of receiving SNAP benefits to go to a nutrition CLASS. There, problem solved and zero sympathy.

The problem is not that these people lost their jobs. the problem is that people dont know what to eat. The problem is that they dont have a job.

The fact that this was ever considered necessary in the first place speaks volumes about our country. Are we truly this ignorant that we are unaware of healthy foods. Nooooo..... I don't believe that, I do believe though that many folks are too lazy to get out of the drive thru and get into the produce dept. Eat green and stay lean, and I won't even charge the Gvmt for that one.
