Souhan can't see the difference between calling out a teammate for public stupidity, and Sherman's donkey-like chest-thumping victory taunt?

Racism and name calling against Sherman were absolutey uncalled for but what's with the trend about trying to shame those of us who thought what Sherman did was disrespectful and uncalled for? You can't compare Manning and Sherman's situation. They were both bad but how can you try to say one is "worse"?

Short memory? If anyone remembered Manning's obscure comment from 11 years ago, they should be playing trivia.

Nice stretch Jim. Crabtree didn't make distasteful comments about Sherman on a Canadian radio station. Crabtree said it on the field. You are trying to make a story to justify Sherman's behavior and compare it to Manning at a pro bowl when asked about the kicker's comments. Keep in mind Erin Andrews didn't ask Sherman about Crabtree, Sherman decided to say what he did without being asked about it.

Way off base. Sherman is a very good player, and made the play of the biggest game of his life. But instead of enjoying the win with class, he revealed himself to be a punk. That was on national TV for all to see, but if we call it as we see it Souhan plays the race card??? Manning is unarguably one of the best quarterbacks of all time, and he has consistently been the epitome of class his entire career. What an intellectually baseless comparison. We deserve better from Souhan.

Jim, you're really reaching for straws by comparing what Manning said to Sherman's incoherent rants.

There's no comparison, Mr. Writer whose name shall not be named blows it again.

Jim....you have to be kidding on this, right? Not only is this a woefully stretched comparison to make, but you also basically accuse any white people who opposed Sherman's outburst of doing so based on his skin color. I know at this point not to expect a whole lot of integirty from you as a media member, but this is a new low for you.

Sherman was a Salutatorian at his HS in Compton, CA-4.2 GPA, Stanford Grad. They say he has a photographic memory. Crabtree & him have a history going back to this summer when Crabtree tried to fight him at Larry Fitzgerald's fundraiser. "Legion of Boom" refers to the Seahawks secondary, not the defense as a whole.
