Minneapolis tourism officials gearing up for lots of visitors this year

High-profile draws coming to town this year include everything from baseball’s All-Star Game to a Shriners convention.

Well at least the tourism office got there act together then they did 4 years ago.

It doesn't really balance out. Most people that can head south for the winter or for at least a few days. But... all we can do is try.

Minneapolis and the Twin Cities Metro is a great place to attend a conference. Albeit we aren't able to accommodate some huge numbers, we provide an attractive venue for a lot of trade shows, professional societies, and the like. Out of state colleagues have commented on the cleanliness of our city, the friendliness of service personnel, and the wide variety of offerings on par with those found at much larger cities, at lower prices, easier access, and a safe environment. We should promote the heck out of what we have to offer, because it is "good stuff"!
