RE: "I truly never thought something like this would ever happen here," Cohen said. "It's really, really shocking." ---------------------------- Unfortunately, its not the least bit shocking. This has become a common occurrence. We need to elect Presidents who will fill Supreme Court vacancies with justices that can interpret strict, common sense restrictions on the proliferation of weapons in this country. The second amendment is no longer viable as it is currently interpreted.

Florida resident John Filippidis was recently traveling through Maryland with his wife and two children. Although he left his gun at home, the Maryland Transportation Authority detained Mr. Filippidis for 90 minutes and searched his car. No speeding ticket was issued, nor any citation. This is why I would never set foot in Maryland. They can have their police state and shove it!

So, Opus thinks it's such common sense, then why not chamge it...legally. Propose and pass a Constitutional Amendment repealing the second amendment. But no. That's too hard for people like Opus. This is what is ruining America. No one wants to do it the right way. The President can't get Congress to "compromise", so he says he'll do it by executive order. Same thing that Opus supports. If your answers are the best for America, and it's just simple common sense solutions that are urgently needed, why cant you convince a majority of your fellow citizens? You can't. So instead, you want to appoint a king to rule over us. What tyrants.

And yet another deranged malcontent shoots-up a mall/theater/school and gets his guaranteed 15 minutes of fame from the media. And yet another deranged malcontent calls for more gun control ... because it *obviously* works...

Patastic, If the dead could vote for repealing the second amendment it would be a landslide. More people have died from gun violence in this country than all of our wars combined. You might want to think about what is truly "ruining" this country.

Actually these types of incidents are extremely rare. Most gun homicides are criminals killing other criminals. Which if you think about it really isn't all that bad.

People were shot and killed minding their own business, going about their lives. What I don't understand is why so many people are against better gun registration, particularly at gun shows.
