20 years old is old enough to play a game. Get these prospects up and quit doing it the "Twins" way. Twins management refuses to promote young stars as they are trying to minimize the financial commitment and lengthen the time the player becomes eligible for free agency (which the Twins won't spend the $$.

If he deserves to be here, I hope the TWINS will do it. I like that they gave Hicks a chance based on being great in Spring training. It didn't work out well but that doesn't mean it wouldn't work with Buxton, if he earns the chance.

Unless he can pitch 200 innings a season, there just isn't a lot to get excited about. You simply do not win in October unless you have a staff of quality pitchers. It's that simple.

trade him so he can have a career.

What are the chances both of these young players live up to all the hype? I really hope they do, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Twins are on the cheap as always in order to maximize profit for the team's owners. Buxton et al have done nothing in the majors as yet, but that doesn't stop desperate and delusional Twins fans from acting as though Buxton's had five All-Star years in a row. Truly pathetic. Looks like another 96 loss season...a 4-Peat.

Am I the only one who hopes they don't rush this kid the way they rushed Aaron Hicks? Going into the season everything I heard was, give Hicks another year in the minors. The Twins didn't do that. They let Hicks suffer way too long to prove they had a young replacement for Denard Span and Ben Revere. I hope he can bounce back. Baseball is unlike other sports--you can have all the talent in the world, but you need time to develop the experience and confidence to play in the bigs. Glad we signed Tanaka. Oh wait, that was the Yankees.

I'm with huckfinn. If he shows he's ready in A ball, they'll move him up to AA and then to AAA and then to the majors. Potential isn't worth a lick; the man needs some experience at each level getting used to the speed of the game.

agreed. very few ready for the majors at 20. give him some time to develop. and as for complaining about the twins being cheap, I bet if you give the twins a 20 billion dollar tv contract they could afford $20 million dollar a year pitchers.
