Wal-Mart's Sam's Club to cut 2,300 workers as it strives to be more nimble

NEW YORK — Wal-Mart Stores Inc. said it's eliminating 2,300 workers at its Sam's Club division as it reduces the ranks of middle managers in a bid to be more nimble.

People who make the conscious decision "I'm going to shop at Costco, because I believe they give workers enough in wages and benefits that I'm not subsidizing corporate profits by paying their employees' food stamps and Medicaid" are not suddenly going to switch to Sam's Club because they've put middle managers on the unemployment rolls.

Obama says the economy is recovering and Wal-Mart is cutting 2,300 jobs; hmmm??? Wasn't the stimulus supposed to help the lowest income earners the most...yea, the ones who shop at Wal-Mart! Does anyone smell a skunk???

To the people who bash Walmart for not paying enough; all the wealth that runs our society is created in the private sector, and private sector companies, even the biggest ones are being trashed by government policies such as the ACA. Don't be angry with me! The issue is that you can't reconcile your political narrative with reality.

The answer is to this is to end globalization. We should not trade with countries that have slave ship economies.Western policies encourage international companies to wage arbitrage.We are racing to the bottom in the name of growth, but the growth is for the Oligarchs,thanks to the Red and Blue team. Enjoy it folks while you argue how great your team is we have all been sold out we're on a one way trip here folks.The middle class is shrinking.It is not our duty as a country to meet the Chinese people in a race to a lower tier. There are more than a billion Chinese. They can make their own way and stand up against their own corrupt government.Raising the minimum wage won't fix raising taxes won't fix this the " The die has been cast "
