The All-Star second baseman didn’t leave on good terms.

I always cheered Knoblauch (except as a Yankee, but who did outside of NY). But never threw stuff...that's just wrong in so many ways. He helped win a WORLD SERIES here people! So what if he wanted off the crappy Twins of the 90s...we barely watched them anyway. Besides, that trade help create the success of the 2000s. I hope he comes back for the Twins HOF and I will cheer him, but I wouldn't blame him if he didn't...I'm not sure I would after the throwing objects incident. But he certainly is a Twins HOFer.

Congrats Knobby. A terrific player who was a big part of the '91 team. Glad to have you back - see you at Target Field this summer.

I hope Knoblauch will come and I would hope people will cheer. An outstanding ball player that wanted to win. I would compare him to Pierzynski. Very good player for the Twins and the fans booed him after he left even though his trade brought good players in return. He belongs in the Twins HOF and I would cheer if I am at that game!

Way to go, Chuck. I think all of us understood his frustration with the organization in the mid-late '90s, but most were bitter because we knew we were losing a good player. That whole situation snowballed. Hope this clears all that up and we can celebrate the good times.

OMG...I am so embarrassed. Granted I am 85 but I would have sworn Jim Kaat was not in the HOF...checked again and he is in there. Many, many apologies !!!!!

I once saw Chuck Knoblauch refuse to sign a baseball for a little kid.

I worked as an usher for the Twins in the 1991 season. It was a fun job that allowed me to see a lot of things most fans can't. Kirby Puckett fielded grounders at 2B in warmups and filled the Dome with his laugh. I carried Shane Mack's wife's luggage during the ALCS and chatted w/Scott Leius and Greg Gagne (really nice guys). After games, players and employees -- including ushers -- walked out the same tunnel, up the same stairs, and out the same door. Fans were often there and young kids would ask for everyone's autograph...even mine sometimes! Well, one day I walked out w/Knoblauch. I tried to make small talk but, unlike most players, he was cold and aloof. He just grunted and glared at me just for saying "good game". When we got out he rushed passed the kids, got in a black Yukon w/Texas plates, and almost ran over people on his way out. This was a rookie...who had proven nothing...on a day when he had three hits...that had no time for fans. I was thrilled when he forgot how to throw from 2nd to 1st and his career tanked. I'm sorry he'll be in the Twins Hall of Fame. His stats warrant it, but his character left a lot to be desired.
