Natural gas soars as frigid winter limits production and demand for heating, electricity rises

NEW YORK — The frigid winter of 2014 is setting the price of natural gas on fire.

And yet didn't we just see an article that record amounts of American natural gas are being exported? This is ridiculous, and an excellent example of how prices are manipulated by "shortages" that can be wholly avoided.

Be sure and thank your politicians for voting to shut down coal generation and convert to natural gas for electrical production. There are more plans in place to continue this trend. Educate yourselves, get involved and express your opinions. Otherwise, you just get surprised after it's too late.
