US stocks slump again, continuing a global downturn as investors flee emerging markets

NEW YORK — The Dow Jones industrial average is sharply lower as investors dump risky assets and pull money out of emerging markets.

I hope all this is people taking a profit from the highs. There are some very serious fundamental issues with our global market and our serious deficit. Does anyone have an idea of what happens if China or any other country cannot buy our debt? Besides increase in interest rates and lower ratings, what else will happen? What would be so terrible if we brought back manufacturing and items for sale made in America?
