St Paul beat: Vote on city golf courses was difficult for council

I've said it before; golf is going the way of the dinosaurs, truth be told. The younger generation doesn't play and even the 'boomers' are into physical recreation. It would be wise for communities to use this open space for other activities. For example, the huge Theo Wirth Park in Minneapolis is over half dedicated to golf courses (18 & 9 & chipping green). They just aren't cost effective anymore, and i doubt they will ever recover.

Golf isn't going to save St Paul from it's obvious decline. Maybe Mega Bus will though?
