Liberals ought to be upset over the investigation. They need Christie to run for the presidency in 2016. One thing is for certain, the democrats will not stand a chance. Hillary's lies and deception have soured moderate liberals view of her. They support Christie. They like him because he is moderate like them. Otherwise, liberals may just find a Tea Party member in the oval office and will regret the day they skewered Christie for petty reasons.

Why does one need to hire a big time attorney to "cooperate"?

Democrats must feel Christie is a threat, they are making sure the witch hunt continues.

not to be a crank, but I would consider the same law firm representing both Christie and the NJ-GOP could be caught in a conflict of interest at some point. the Governor's legal beagles should be from another firm just from smell-test reasons. but I bet that never occurred to any of the parties involved...

Wow, the elft are upset about a bridge having a couple lanes shut down, yet think it's ok for Obama to cointinually use federal agencies to go after anyone with an "R" after their name. Can you say Hypocrisy.

"the elft are upset about a bridge having a couple lanes shut down, yet think it's ok for Obama to cointinually use federal agencies to go after anyone with an "R" after their name. Can you say Hypocrisy."..............."Just closing a couple of lanes" you say? Really?? How about abusing the power of his office to cause a four-day gridlock affected tens of thousands of people, including emergency responders, and then denying that he knew anything about it? "just closing a couple of lanes" is stunningly dismissive. Add to this his attempt to extort Sandy funds in return for agreeing to allow a huge developments be built in Hoboken by the Rockefeller group (whose attorney is one of CC's closest allies). The only hypocrisy here is that a governor who claims to be devoted to his state has resorted to unethical, devious, and bullying measures.

"Democrats must feel Christie is a threat, they are making sure the witch hunt continues."................Wrong! Democrats AND Republicans are demanding accountability. As to "witch hunts", that's all the GOPTP's been pursuing for five years - now, when (with good cause), it comes to one of your own, you squawk about it?! CC fully brought this investigation onto himself, not the Dems.

It is obvious that the libs are scared and desperate to do anything to discredit Christie. One has even called the lane closure on the bridge the "bridge disaster". Pure desperation.

tituspullo - Christie is as close to being a democrat as a republican can. Hillary is tainted. She has been exposed as a liar and a fraud. Your only chances are with Christie. Conservatives don't like him, so your best bet is to back him.

And the right is horrified that Christie is being implicated in the misuse of Federal funds. So they'll defend his illegal behavior no matter what.---------Oh I get it.. ONE person who is a campaign manager for Clinton accused him of something but has nothing to back it up is "implicating" him in something. OK, I see your standards. This will go as far as that "tragedy called bridgegate", where a couple of lanes were shut down without Christie even aware of it.

His ship is sinking fast. He'll be luck if he can hold on for another year.------I'll take that bet, and double it. The feds, under order of Obama, are doing everything they can to discredit him with false accusations because they know that Hilary has no chance.
