“I just look to show that I’m a hard worker and I have great character,” Henderson said. “I felt like I had some bad press in the media that made teams in the NFL think that I’m kind of a bad guy or a knucklehead. I just felt like I made a couple bad decisions, and I think that I deserve a chance to play in the NFL and that I’m a first-rounder Bad press? That'll happen when you are suspended 3 times for smoking marijuana. Also, third team all conference doesn't make you a first round pick.

Here is the deal. Great Great Interview. Props to Master T and his Journalism. Guy needs more chances to give his take. He's a guy I like to listen to about Minn Vikings Football. Keep up the good work. To comment on the Senior bowl and what it holds. If your a Vikings fan, you will tune into the senior bowl to watch a future Vikings QB, and many many more. The senior bowl is packed with talent. Look it up and get on board for the greatest rebuild of a team in the NFL. Right now the staff they are hiring, and the buzz of Free agents, is going to bring Minn Football back. Not since the Dennis Green days have I seen a staff assembled like this so far. The tallent our new DB's coach will bring over. Guys Zimmer will want, Turner. Think about it! It's about time Vikings.

I really like Hageman when he puts out a full effort!! Many times this year he disappeaed for most of a game and you never heard his name except when someone said "where's Hageman". My concern is he could be a Randy Moss who said I take plays off!! Which Hageman will be drafted?? Vikes need lots of defensive help!!

NFL teams will need to see if Henderson actually has a passion and enjoyment of the game or if it's just his ticket to riches. I hope he doesn't turn out to be Bryant McKinney II.

I'm kinda happy the Gophers didn't have to deal with 'Henderson issues' over his college career. It now clear he made the right choice by leaving his home state. Just not the right choice for him.

Hageman might turn into Randy Moss? And that would be a bad thing? Hageman is still developing and learning how to play defensive tackle. Certainly appreciate all he contributed to the gophers over the years. On the other hand, I feel sorry for Henderson. First he burned his bridges in Minnesota, then went on to waste his talent. People in Miami won't be there for him things fall apart. He talks about showing that he is a hard worker and has good character when he is preparing for an audition for the NFL, but he had four years to demonstrate those things. For all that I thought about him for the three years leading up to his commitment to play elsewhere, I had honestly forgotten all about him. He had great size and athleticism, but it takes more than that to excel in life.

Seems to me you forgot about NDSU consensus all american Billy Turner is also playing in the senior bowl, and has caught the eye of pro scouts. How do you leave him out of this article?

A good illustration that there are many potential advantages to staying close to home; play for the "U" and have your family and friends near and in the stands cheering you on. Of course, an athlete can still slide off the road to a great future. Tough to see Minnesota kids underperform, but so terrific to see the Hageman stories.
