Now if only they invested in better service. That is the real problem.

@swiftboat and coyle, that's what you get when you have a monopoly.

Comcast stinks. My mother passed away last week, and the task to close her business accounts and make final payments fell to me. Comcast will not close her account until they receive a copy of her death certificate DELIVERED IN PERSON TO THEIR OFFICE, not mailed. Credit cards, insurance, other utilities all closed her accounts on my request or will accept a mailed death certificate. But I'll have to hand deliver one to Comcast to close her lousy cable account. Idiots!

Comcast stinks, so does CenturyLink. Customer service is dead. That said, I'm happy when businesses stay or move to St. Paul!

Rkaputnik... My condolences. My mother also recently passed away and I just dealt with comcast also. However, I was given an email address and was told I could send a PDF of the funeral home paperwork to close the account. Try calling again. But then I had to go in person anyway to return these two tiny $2 switch boxes for basic cable service. On the upside, cable tv as we. Know it will be gone in 5 years..

make sure you give em your social security number while you're signing up for your rot brain cable tv and internet. Because they need that so you can watch tv and surf the web you know. They won;t feed it to Big Brother or anything and keep it in a file alongside your viewing and online activity I assure you. The boxes don;t have cameras or sound recorders either. Come on people.
