And they would have gotten their wish if not for BountyGate. They should have stripped the Saints of their Super Bowl title.

Would any of these "anonymous" players be prime-time players willing to take a discount to sign with the Vikes in order to help AP get to the Super Bowl?? I guy can dream, can't he?

Unless we get a QB that can play, AP will have to switch teams or become a top ten musical performer and sing at half-time of the Super Bowl if he wants to get there. I like what has happened so far with the addition of Zimmer and Turner....The GM could still be a problem, but I get the impression this new coach will not let Spielman dictate anything and he will work the Wilf's in the background as needed to get the personnel he wants or get a new GM. It is going to be fun to watch. I just hope the good times are not too far off for AP's gas tank.

I hold Adrian in the highest regard, if the Vikings are not willing to commit to reaching the Super Bowl then I believe they should trade him to a team that will. They owe Adrian a chance to play for the ultimate championship.

AP continues to show what a truly exceptional and classy guy he is. If young people want one of the best sports role models alive today, they can look to AP. It's great to hear he is loyal to the Vikings, and I'd love to see him book end his career in MN. But I can't help feeling bad that he probably won't get a super bowl ring for all he has brought to the sport. The Barry Sanders analogy has been beaten to death, but it's just so true. But Barry has the love and AP will too whether or not he gets a ring.

Maybe we should give AP a break and trade him for 6 or 7 good players. Remember the Herschel Walker trade? That trade gave Dallas a good team for many years...... AP to a team that he could possibly win a super bowl ring and build the vikings team in the process.

Given the punishment running backs take, it is unreasonable to expect AP's career will last long enough for him to make it to a Super Bowl with the Vikings. Send him to a good team like Seattle, San Francisco, Denver or New England so he has a chance to get a ring. The T-wolves sent KG and the Twins sent Ortiz to teams that won championships. Let's face it, the role of Minnesota teams is to groom players, then send them elsewhere for championships. The Vikings need to do that with AP and the T-Wolves need to do that with Kevin Love.

Too bad. Earn it. He had his chance a couple of years ago. Plenty of great players, who didn't have the chance. too.
