Vikings staff takes shape and hits the ground running

MOBILE, ALA. – There hasn’t been any official announcements about Vikings coach Mike Zimmer’s staff, but some of those pieces already are busy behind the scenes at the Senior Bowl. That includes the new quarterbacks coach Scott Turner, who will hold the position under his father, Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner.

No to Logan, and definately no to Carr. Who does this Turner kid think he is? Go after Bortles, or Garappolo!!!

The talk of lesser QBs at the senior bowl indicates to me that the vikes are not going to find a blue chip QB in the first round of the draft. There is no guarantee that a first round QB will pan out, but the chances for a second and later round QB to pan out decrease greatly. Free agency? or another option that nobody discusses these days is a QB from the Canadian football league.... which I know nothing about... but then, I am not drafting either. PS... I could live with Cassel very easily too... and remember, because Freeman got the one and only chance, that was a national joke, we still don't know the kid's ability because "someone" didn't bother to start him in the last meaningless game of the season.

Turner should be able to find a QB he can work with. If he really wants to prove hes one of the best OC, turn Ponder into a QB and I'll be freaking amazed

The Vikings didn't draft a single kid that they interviewed in last year's senior bowl, and they never interviewed Harrison Smith and did draft him. So if you're putting any kind of stock into this, you're not doing it right.

From now until the end of the draft EVERYthing is smoke and mirrors. Happens every year folks. Nothing to get worked up about.

"He is listed as the sixth-best outside linebacker, according to’s Mel Kiper." Why do we still go to Mel Kiper for draft advice? The guy is a proven idiot.

What is this, "Bring Your Son To Work Season?" Nepotism is alive and well, I see.

The only first round talent QB the Vikes should talk to is Teddy. Otherwise focus on the 2-4th round graded QB's and use that pick for a stud D player. How about if Colvin is there in the 4-5th we take a shot at him?

My sons know exactly how I want my business run. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them should they choose to work in my field. Nothing wrong with that so long as the son is qualified.

I agree with Tabarnoosh--I have a 10 and a 13 year old daughter and I trust them to make the right decision for our families businesses far more than some of my employees
