One must be very confused to be gay and want anything to do with republican policies. They must also realize that the Republican Party is anti gay because the people who vote that way want them to be that way. Conservatism is a failure.

More power to them! I am a little left of center, but I think it's great that some Republicans are showing that they deserve respect from the party which has historically dismissed them as non-people. Thankfully, they're not closet gays who express hatred for the gay lifestyle to the rest of the world like some in the GOP have done.

Why is disagreement considered hate?

pamheiden: "Why is disagreement considered hate?" === If it were simple disagreement, that would be one thing. When it rises to the level of trying to keep some people as second class citizens without the same rights and privileges as everyone else, that is hatred.

Hmmm, every time I read a poll that is detrimental to republican policies, I hear from the republicans that they don't believe or follow polls. Hmmmmmmm.

I doubt it. Love how it's always different if YOU are opposed to something! Besides, you can love people and hate their choices in life. Most people do it all the time.

Is anyone else sick of identity politics? Conservatives who are gay are conservative...we need more of them. Give them credit for not buying the liberal narrative about hate. I hate not one gay person, but I like gay conservatives more than liberal ones.

windigolake: Your definition of hate is just that, your definition. Best not to apply your labels and definitions with a broad brush as that suggests ignorance or worse and sparks hate.

Good for them. As a moderate Republican, we need to get beyond this issue. It should be a non-issue. We win the economic argument all day long, yet we allow things like this to cloud the discussion.
