AP Interview: American held in UAE for spoof video talks of fearful moments, filthy conditions

MINNEAPOLIS — An American held in the United Arab Emirates for nine months for his role in an online parody video about youth culture in Dubai said Friday that he was scared at times and was kept in filthy conditions where guards "shouted at everyone like dogs."

Why is this news? The guy went to a foreign country and did something that most people with an ounce of common sense wouldn't do. And when he got thrown into prison, the weeping and wailing began. I'm glad you're home now. But your undeserved 15 minutes of fame are long over. Just leave us alone please. Alas, I'm sure he's got a book deal in the works.
