DeAndre Mathieu’s impact with the Gophers led to reflection on the history of junior college transfers with this basketball team. Several prominent JUCOs were mentioned in a Star Tribune blog, with the covenant that there were probably some prominent players missing from the list.

I remember Ollie well. What a character! I was his resident counselor at Frontier Hall. One night I woke up to the rattling and screeching sound of a bicycle rolling up and down the dark hallway and it was Ollie with his big grin and apologetic smile. He was playful, yet respectful character. Sorry to learn he passed.
