Downtown East ramp draws wide interest from developers

I was hoping for a bit more information on the scale of these projects, but perhaps that info isn't going to be available until the 4th. From an urbanist perspective, I'd love to see highest and best use at this site, and hopefully something that makes the 6 story parking ramp base a foregone conclusion by the time it's done being built!

Next stop, redeveloping the Gateway ramp. If we need to build ramps for the Vikes in DTE, we might as well tear down and redevelop the eyesore on Washington!

The best thing to come out of the whole stadium issue is the development of downtown east. For once Minneapolis is doing something right. I'm glad to see that they are trying to make better use of the space than just a parking ramp. Putting a hotel or apartments on top will make it blend in to the landscape so much better. Also, I get the arguments by those who filed the suits to delay the bond sale but it's over and they need to move on. It's delaying progress at this point.
