Everyone is just over rating this game against the Oilers. They are dead last in the standings have no defense, and thier players average -25 In the second period the Wild could not get out of thier own zone for almost 13 minutes against the Oilers it was rather a boting game ... To say the Wild dominated is really overrating this team As I have said all along this team under Yeo is a .500 team and if they were to get into the playoffs which I dont think they will, they will not beat the Blues or the Hawks in the first round, so it will be the same thing as last year

Now Prosser has as many goals as your favorite Spurgeon, Russo. Better practice working on the spinning of his offensive prowess, when the diminutive but brilliant one returns from the foot injury.

Always nice to beat the greasers! So much talent, so little team chemistry. Cooke hammering Nail was priceless, led to a goal too.

Good game Wild. Doesn't matter who its against, or, how it gets done, wins feel better than loses.

We should be happy that somehow we are in a playoff position without our top 2 scorers and our leading goalie who was a vezina candidate when he went onto IR. (amongst other injuries)

Two points is two points. Looking at the mess they call the Oilers makes the Sabres look like Cup contenders. Regardless, the Wild is wracking up points without key players. Fontaine just might get 20 goals this season. Heatley has stepped up his play and is much tougher on on the cycle and is consistently making good passes. His defensive play is also much better. Perhaps wearing the A has given him motivation, although I think his should is feeling better.

ARRey sez: We like watching these "boting" games. Kudos to Prosser (CC), Zucker (DU), and Fontaine (UMD).

I hope Heatley keeps playing well. Maybe it'll up his trade value. I hope Fletcher doesn't decide to keep him for "team chemistry." Shop him for a good draft pick and let's move on. Go Wild!

Does Brodziak ride the short bus? My gawd...I doubt there's a guy in this league with less skill and coordination. And at 6'2", how can he possibly be such a rag doll? It's like watching Bid Bird play. As for the line combinations, first two lines, only a fool would split up the Granlund-Pominville or Heatley-Coyle-Zucker combinations. Just move Fontaine to the first line, and--god forbid--think about flipping Nino onto Koivu's line and placing Zack on Granny's line. Then you'd have about as much scoring depth as this organization is capable of at present.

Heatley can't be traded with that salary, Spurge gets pushed around in front of his own net, Backs was the WORST move by Fletch (YES that includes the Leddy trade - at least he tried - Risebrough never did a thing) & I think the kids are more relaxed without the too intense Koivu around!
