Winner of Texas auction to hunt endangered African rhino says he fears for his safety

DALLAS — A North Texas man who paid $350,000 for the right to hunt an endangered African black rhino said he's had to hire full-time security due to death threats after his name was leaked onto the Internet.

My heart bleeds for you.

I don't condone idiots making death threats. But at the same time, this guy knew that people were overreacting and frothing at the mouth before he entered a bid, and he should be able to figure out from the way reporters sniff out the names of lottery winners that his identity would leak out...so it's hard to feel much pity for him.
