The question is how many minutes will the Wild play out of the 60? I would also sit Pommie for a game or two...he's getting lazier by the game. And maybe start shooting the puck on the PP?

Scrivens is a very solid goalie that will probably get the start tonight. That in itself could be the difference maker in the game. The Wild will have to be very good shooting the puck to score against this guy and very good with the puck to keep it away from the Oilers who like Russo said will be all jacked up coming out of these trades.

Edmonton is awful. Last in the conference. So in order to begin the excuse rants, we have to say they are motivated. SO ARE THE WILD. If we lose yet again to a very poor team that is below us in the standings, the Yeo firing watch is back on and stronger than ever. Wild should be even more motivated than the Oilers. And call it like it is, Pominville has been horrible as of late. Almost as bad as Brodziak has been. Said it before.. the Pominville trade and his signing for a pretty nice salary is going to haunt this team. He is another Heatley in the making. He loses another step, and he is there.

ahh yes...april 26. i remember that night. the oilers are inconsistent. the wild are inconsistent. oilers have several skill players. the wild have energy guys and mike greenlay to make them seem like skill players.

Not sure I would sit Pominville but he certainly could use a wake-up call. Not shooting the puck, knocked off the puck like he weighs 70 lbs....... Would have thought that a former captain would be stepping up his game more while the others are out? Kind of surprised that Heatley is looking better the last 4-5 games - really needed that and I wasn't sure that he still had it. Should be a game that they approach to win-it-only - don't play to not lose tonight guys or you will against this team. April 26 was a franchise embarrassment - if that doesn't bring out Backstroms best game, nothing will.
