Private firm will run two St. Paul city golf courses

St. Paul has reached a tentative agreement with Prom Management Group of Oakdale to take over operations this year of two city-owned golf courses, officials said Tuesday.

This is not privatization, which would include selling the asset and putting the property back on the tax roles. This is merely publicizing the cost and privatizing the profit. Bad business, which government cannot be allowed to be in since it’s not legal.

I guess no one ever thought that if they can't make a go of it as golf courses that the public's land could be used for some other public purpose.
