St. Paul's Crowne Plaza to become an InterContinental hotel

The Twin Cities will get an InterContinental Hotel this summer when the Mille Lacs Band rebrands the Crowne Plaza Riverfront Hotel in downtown St. Paul with the stamp of the international luxury hotel.

They have got to overhaul the Port of Call bar in that hotel. It's currently like an Ember's from 1989. Please take a cue and make it a cool, trendy lounge like The Driftwood Room in Portland Oregon. Now that is a cool elegant hotel bar! For the Port of Call I envision a swanky nautical environment, low lights, no tv's, old black and white photos of river barges and scenes from the river front in Saint Paul. It won;t happen but I can dream!

All the thumbs down to these obvious things that are just normal on the west coast are why Saint Paul is an abysmal failure of a city.
