Ouch, better hop the pitching gets WAY BETTER with the signings

BCanniffJan. 14, 14 8:44 AM

I hope Bartlett can replace Florimon at short, Hicks can replace Presley, Kubel can replace Arcia, Sano can replace Plouffe and all those new pitchers can win at least half their games. Otherwise disaster again.

Parmelee is mentioned as a prospect, hmmm...I am afraid that ship has sailed a long time ago now.

speedawg99Jan. 14, 1411:58 AM

Why on earth would you want Kubel to replace Arcia? Unless you want Kubel from 5 years ago to replace today's Arcia. Is that what you're looking for? If so, I'm on board with you. But given the fact that time machines aren't readily available, I'll take present and future Arcia over present and future Kubel 100 times out of 100.

That is a pretty hideous line-up. They asked one of the Twins brass recently about the drop in season tickets sold, and predictably he tried to make it sound like it was no big deal. I think most business owners, if they saw a YOY drop in over 2,000 of their most devoted customers, would be seriously concerned. Obviously all they really care about is franchise appreciation and the one field product is an after-thought.

Dantes929Jan. 14, 14 2:02 PM

Yes, that lineup looks hideous. Add one guy and wait a year and it looks like this. Drew, Mauer, Buxton, Sano, Rosario, Arcia, Dozier, Pinto and maybe Plouffe at DH. That looks a lot better.

ellinalJan. 14, 14 5:12 PM

What a lineup. Even our top two .240 sluggers are gone now, Morneau & Doumit, so this should be a really fun year for the fans.

harrya48777Jan. 15, 1411:26 AM

That line-up would not start on almost any other MLB team. This team is an insult to Twins fans. If you accept it, then you get what you deserve. Have a good season.

Thanks Vikings for hiring Mike Zimmer today. Signed, Terry Ryan
