They, Titans, passed on Zimmer today...The Vikes better pass on Zimmer too...Let the ROMAN EMPIRE begin, and hire Tomsoula as D-Coordinator!

I agree, pass on Zimmer. There's a reason he's been passed over so much. Hire Roman!

Whisenhunt will be a solid coach for the Titans; expect their offense to pick things up a notch next year. Unfortunately, I think Zimmer will be a defensive minded coach with no skill, aptitude, or desire for innovation in the offense (read as trying to recreate an 80s and 90s style Bill Parcels run-first offense when league rules and players now favor a multi-faceted passing attack) and his penchant for screaming on the sidelines may not play as well when he is a head coach. And if he plans to keep his friend Bill Musgrave as an offensive coordinator as Sid Hartman is reporting, I think you can pretty much expect another three or four years of mediocrity before we go through this process again.

Its a double edged sword, if we hire an OC we will be skeptical of what he can do with our Defense and just the opposite if we hire a DC. I think we have to go with a DC as our offense needs a QB with an arm and an OC with a little imagination. Our Defense on the other hand needs a complete make-over with personnel and the scheme we will run as well. If we were to ever switch to a 3-4 defense now would be the time as we will see a lot of new names next year.
