Jeff Dubay, the AM1500 sports talk host who left the airwaves a while back because of drug problems, tweeted Monday afternoon that his second time around on the air has come to an end.

Dubay was the best thing about AM1500. It would great to hear him back with Paul Allen. Someone needs to keep PA in line.

That just stinks. First it's Phun and now Dubay. I really enjoy Dubay's take. Good Luck Jeff. Who does Judd have pictures of?

He would be a good fit for Mornings at KFAN. GET RID OF HAWKEY AND SLUDGE.. TALK SOME SPORTS AND FORGET RATING THE GREATEST 80's ROCK BANDS.

I know Dubay has been through a lot, and I give him credit for cleaning up his life. But I have to say I found it impossible to listen to him. He doesn't talk fast, he stammers fast. In fact I think he gets fewer words out than most people, but the rapid stammering was a terrible distraction. With that said, I hope he finds another Twin Cities job.

That's too bad. I am a suck for the "comeback story." Dubay seemed to be doing pretty well paired with Judd Zullgad. I preferred that duo to PA on the other sports station. I don't dislike Judd, but I won't listen to him as often with out Dubay at his side. And there is noone else at that station currently that would make a good pairing with Judd. I hope Dubay ends up at The Ticket, 105.1. I am really starting to enjoy the balance of local and national sports programs that new sports talk station has come up with.

Strange story.....seems like there are other moves the station could have made to cut costs than cutting the host of one their more popular shows. Who knows what happens behind closed doors, but it doesn't make much sense to me.

Seems like a big mistake, though that seems to be the history of KSTP. I'm sure he'll be on the radio somewhere else by the end of the week.
