Well coached, well executed game. Nice scoring distribution. All players contributed. Will probably be limited comments since folks only enjoy posting when there's something to criticize.

Nice smackdown of a good team (Northwestern has beaten Purdue and DePaul this year). I'm surprised, not by the fact that the Gophers won, but that it was such a rout - this is far and away NW's worst loss of the year. More balanced scoring and better substitution (7 players got 18+ minutes) definitely helped. Looks to me like the Gophers wanted to make a statement on their home court after the debacle against MSU last week - have to hand it to Borton and her staff for good preparation for this one. I would like to see more of Jackie Johnson (1 blk and 1 reb in 4 minutes) because she really has a good nose for the ball and should certainly have opportunities given the foul trouble that the big posts are prone to. Crazy first week and a half in the B1G - MSU the only undefeated team after 3 games (have to say that they look better than any other B1G team that I've seen so far). Gophers with a huge game at Nebraska this Thursday to pull to 2-2 in the B1G if successful, though recent history hasn't been kind against the Huskers. Go Gophers!

This was a great win and an uncharacteristic-ally well-coached game by Coach B and her staff. We were helped quite a bit by NU's inability to play defense and their poor shooting, but our players were also playing on another level. Big props, especially, to Zahui and Riche who both played with four fouls on them for the majority of the second half and neither fouled out! It was also great to see all the alums that came out for alumni day.

Lock Borton down with another golden parachute before someone "steals" her away... like Ball State! Rah!

Enjoyable game to watch yesterday! Nice to see other players besides Banham & Zahui B scoring. Noga was really on! Keep it up!

A fine win, one of the best in recent seasons: well-coached and well-executed, with good shooting and good rebounding. NWU shot poorly, thanks at least in part to some improved perimeter defense by the Gophers. I am still concerned about Banham's FG-shooting, but she was great in all other facets of the game. Glad to see Borton getting the other players more in the mix.

lets see more Jackie Johnson.

Krzykt, I think it is understandable that many people are down on the coaching staff: the program has declined to the point where it is 23-43 in conference play the last four years.

How about we win 3 in a row before we talk about how we have it all figured out. Good teams do this consistently. Gophers have not done is consistently against decent teams.. Will be following the next 4 games before I pat them on the back.

Many insightful comments. Nice to see props given to the staff and players for this win. Totally understand that some folks are down on this coaching staff. And, yes, they need to be more consistent. Can't change the minds of those that want Borton gone but appreciate those who, at least, can man up enough to say something positive when it happens.
