I think at least 5% of the work should be given to Eskimos.

You can call me a racist but these minority requirements don't sit well with me. Just hire the best people to do the job. If I were a well-qualified white, male applying for one of these jobs and didn't get it, I would think about suing for discrimination for not hiring me because of the color of my skin. Racial equality doesn't just mean non-white. It means equality for everyone. If you don't hire a qualified worker because you need to meet a minority quota, I don't see how that's legal.

Corruption from top to bottom. Victimizing the U with an empty stadium wasn't enough.

(derekv wrote): "100% of the work should go to qualified people/firms." ---- My definition of "qualified" in this economy and geographical area of construction means that all of the middle to upper-class salaried stadium construction/design/etc jobs should go to the currently jobless in that area and, if need be, on-site training should occur. Dayton could even call it a Jobs Program (like the CCC) to help him think that he'll be around as Governor after this next election. I find a lot of heartless commenters that are screaming about entitlements abused by irresponsible citizens. Well, here is a spectacular chance to put those people to work. Right? As for the comment by dentester, I believe that 0% of the jobs should go to scandinavians because extremely few live next to the stadium. After all, that demographic is the metaphorical seed from which the blonde ponytailed yet with historically inaccurate cattle horns atop their heads losing team sprung. The logic sounds fair. It is unfortunate that Kelm-Helgen is already deeply involved in this stadium scam. A person that represents true stadium-area-Minneapolis should have been put in charge. And, as for Mondale, had ANY letter of his last name been omitted, Dayton would have said "Who?" and given the job to someone else (likely more qualified also).

The minority population of the Twin Cities is 18% and that includes all non-white residence. Why would they demand 32%? They are going to have problems finding qualified workers locally. They will probably start hiring outside the state. It should have been Minnesota residence ONLY.

I think that 100% of the work should go to US Citizens. 100% of the material used should be US Made/manufactured. Drop the label's. Be proud to be a US Citizen.
