Experience is great. Next time, don't mock the govt of a foreign country that only values foreign money. You do know they really don't like the US?

They like the US money that buys their oil. They like the US military that keeps order in the region. They agree to pay foreign workers low wages to do most menial tasks that they don't want to do themselves. I don't see the attraction for recent college grads to live there?

I know you have to respect another country's way of doing things, beliefs, laws, mores, etc. when you are living there, but the reason was absurd.

@mankatoeast: You are taking a chance every time you get out of bed. Face it, America is the most dangerous place for most Americans. Including those that travel abroad. Aside: Does anyone think the military style dog tags being worn in the picture of Shez indicate there may be more to the story?

Half a century ago, America used to throw comedians in jail, too. Remember Lenny Bruce? It was wrong when we did it, and it's wrong when the UAE does it. Human rights and intellectual freedoms trump their oppressive "culture."
