Change the rules: every player wears goalie skates and extra newspapers around the shins.

I imagine the foot protectors are much like my CPAP, absolutely dreadful at first but once used to them an extreme help.

Or they could learn to block shots correctly. Everyone who was injured has done this little move where at the last possible moment they perform a quick turn left or right, exposing their unprotected portions of their feet to the shot. I'm not sure when this move became prevalent but I see a lot of the wild players doing it.

No one cares. Fire someone, trade someone, release someone, draft someone, move the team to Texas, eat my shorts, Koivu is overrated, Wild = Mild.

If the Wild had a competent coach, which they clearly DON'T, he would teach them to get down on the ice and stack themselves in order to properly block shots. He would also teach the defensemen to play the body at the blueline, not watching the opposing forward stick handle into the zone easily while the D collapse into their own goalie. He would also address his team after EVERY game, not just after the games he sees fit. Have they fired Yeo yet, or have winning a couple LUCKY ones and all the injuries saved his season?

I agree with bigbear, I wish wood sticks were still used. The composites break so often, such as when Coyle tried to take his shootout shot and his snapped in half. Not to mention that I have 2 boys that play hockey and they are so frickin expensive. Seriously, hockey is expensive enough and now they make sticks up to a couple hundred dollars? No wonder it's hard to get kids to play hockey.
