Lawyers detail $765M plan for NFL concussions; proposed deal would cover 19,000 former players

PHILADELPHIA — Lawyers representing former NFL players in the proposed $765 million settlement of thousands of concussion-related claims detailed Monday how the money would be divided.

the NFL will not be able to continue to provide such high quality entertainment if they have to bear this cost themselves. therefore the taxpayers of every NFL city should be glad to chip in..... right? right?

That math doesn't add up. $675,000,000 for compensatory claims for 19,0000 players is on average about $35,000 per player. I guess not all players will file a compensatory claim, but if they are talking a $1 million, $3 million there, it doesn't go very far.
