CHICAGO — Temperatures were expected to plummet further Monday, bringing dangerous cold to parts of the U.S. still digging out from heavy snow that fell a day before and made travel treacherous.

I picked a great year to spend January in Naples. Bundle up my friends. I'll bring some of this warm weather back with me in February.

I think we have turned into a nation of wussies. I grew up here, delivered (as in walked) the Mpls Tribune (the morning paper) for 5 years. My dad said if it was colder than -25 to wake him up and he would drive me. Now we have half the state hiding in their houses based on a forecast.
