The Wild are a mess

The Wild can't even lose properly, unfortunately. Now Yeo gets to stick around for a few more games and send this season even further into oblivion.

Glad to see Zucker score so he stays with the Wild. If Koivu would have had the puck he would have tried to thread a pass instead.

I know it's against Buffalo, but it was nice to see the Wild snipe a few corners for a change. I'd personally rather see the team get hot again instead of having to make a mid-season coaching change, but i'm not sure we have the chops for that.

Sorry, but a shoo-in victory at home over by far the worst team the NHL has to offer doesn't impress me; especially after what they've offered up the last 20-or-so games. Yeah, so the boys were all smiles after whupping up on the doormat Sabres tonight. If I were one of them I'd be feeling really P.O'ed. It's indicative of where the team is at mentally which ain't too far. This team is still in deep, deep trouble, and the angst will get ramped up again on Saturday against Ovechkin and Washington - and then some more helpings of road-kill for the fans after that beat-down.

"Reprieved, reprieved! Curfew shall not ring tonight!"

Love Mike Yeo!

Brodziak...what a clown. Can't buy a goal in 30 games. Then, he essentially trips over himself at the blue line, draws the penalty, and because the ref knew the same thing any astute Wild fan knows--that there's a very good chance Brodziak would've missed the empty net on the penalty shot--he throws a bit of holiday cheer the Wild's way and gift-wraps a goal for the Brodz-meister. Man...time to stake up the circus tent.

Too bad. I thought a loss would have been the nail in Yeeeeeoooooo's coffin. Oh well.

@ mjlord: Shoe in victory? Tell that to teams like Boston, Toronto, LA, Washington or San Jose. All of the teams I mentioned are supposedly the "higher caliber" teams in the league and they all have lost to Buffalo. That being said, it's amazing what can happen when a team can play a decent game of hockey and score some goals. Backstrom was in net tonight and he certainly didn't play like the liability some of you make him out to be. It will be interesting to see how things play out moving forward.
