GREEN BAY, Wis. — It seems unthinkable that Lambeau Field wouldn't sell out for a Packers playoff game. Yet thousands of tickets are still available for Sunday's wild-card game against the 49ers.

I'm a Cheesehead living in queenland, but another reason there are still tickets is there is no way they are going to win. Sorry Pack, get em next season!

Come on, Sunny and a high of 9. Who wouldn't want to watch a game outside in the depths of winter?

The Packers will sell the game out and be beaten handily by the 49'ers! There wasn't one team in the NFC North that was playoff worthy this year -- the Packer's banner for this season should be marked with an asterisk!

This happened before, in 1982, and for the same reason -- there was confusion about whether the team would make the playoffs, so the season ticket holders didn't get sent ticket offers in time. I suspect the game will sell out, though.

I think the NFL may have reached it's limits on what people are willing to spend on a game, especially with the nice big hi def TVs in everybody's living rooms these days. I've noticed extremely empty stadiums in places like Washington, Pittsburgh, and Miami. That being said, this is quite a shattering of the Packer fan mystique. Are they going to have to start rotating games into Milwaukee again?

How does this effect us here in Minnesota? Whether blacked out or not, everyone in Minnesota will be able to watch the game if they so choose, right in the nice toasty comfort of their own home, on their big screen TV, with surround sound. This probably is the same thinking many Packer fans have, the experience at home now days for an NFL game is almost better than attending the game and dropping hundreds of dollars to attend.

Packers will win and subsequently reach the Super Bowl. Then Rodgers will outduel Manning in a tremendous Super Bowl.(3l-27)

Maybe Vikings fans should buy them up and attend the game, they can start getting used to the cold weather for the next 2 season while the Taj-Ma-Ziggy is being built.

I heard this morning on Mike and Mike that the average ticket price was around $340??? Yikes! That might have something to do with it.
